Description
The outcome
A contained endpoint implemented inside your existing service or a clearly documented starter context. The deliverable focuses on the behaviour a consumer needs: input shape, authorization assumption, error cases and a stable success response.
A useful starting boundary
A strong fit is one resource action—such as creating an order, reading a report or accepting a webhook—where the surrounding system already exists. If the request requires a new domain model, multiple workflows or a full authentication system, we will recommend a larger scope before work begins.
Delivery flow
- Scope confirmation. We translate the order into one input, one output and one acceptance condition.
- Implementation. The agreed change is built against the existing environment or a clearly documented local substitute.
- Review. Behaviour, failure paths and the agreed acceptance condition are checked before handoff.
- Handoff. Source code, configuration notes and the next operational risk are delivered to your team.
What we need from you
Repository access or a minimal reproducible context, expected request and response examples, the target runtime, and any existing authentication convention.
Boundaries and exclusions
This entry product excludes a multi-endpoint API, frontend implementation, a new identity platform, extensive data migration and ongoing hosting. Those can be scoped separately without hiding them inside the endpoint estimate.
Important: checkout reserves the product and starts the scope conversation. A KernelNest Labs team member contacts you before implementation to confirm access, acceptance and delivery. Questions can be sent to contact@kernelnestlabs.io.

Clear source code handoff and well-documented error handling. Exactly what a growing engineering team needs.

The contract validation on our new API endpoint was spot-on. We integrated the source code in under an hour.
